An unidentified person was struck by an E train this morning and is currently in serious condition at Elmhurst Hospital. According to an MTA spokesman, the incident happened around 5:30 a.m at Northern Boulevard and Broadway in Queens. The person was removed from the tracks alive and brought to Elmhurst Hospital. This is the eighth such subway-related injury in the past six days.
The FDNY and MTA had no information on how the individual, who has not been identified, ended up on the tracks, but we'll update as more information becomes available. Yesterday morning a man was fatally struck by an E train in Manhattan at the West 23rd Street station.
