An angry Frenchman named Franck Lebrun was sentenced yesterday to time served (six days), a $500 fine and probation after he drunkenly assaulted an air marshal aboard a Delta flight last month. When he was caught smoking in a bathroom the contractor (who had washed down a pill with a liter of Bailey's Irish Creme and a vodka because of a "fear of flying") allegedly screamed at a stewardess, "I'm French, fuck you!" Since the incident Lebrun has been out on $10,000 bail but unable to leave the country, which his lawyer claims has cost him $4,500 in hotels and meals.
