Some people will never once in their life be arrested. Some people will get collared once or twice. And then there are people like 36-year-old Johnny Morgan of the Bronx. On Monday Morgan was arrested by the police for the 74th time.
Over the years the 5'11" man has apparently been quite the career criminal, but his latest arrest comes from an ill-conceived decision to allegedly fire several rounds in front of a Middletown home before dawn on Monday. He was found with a .40 caliber pistol by the police, eventually getting nasty and spitting on an officer, according to court papers.
Currently being held in lieu of $30,000 bail, Morgan's arrest understandably has some officials asking what he was doing on the streets in the first place. “Do we have to wait for the 99th arrest or someone being killed before this guy is locked up for good?” City Councilman James Vacca asked the News.
