A 54-year man was fatally stabbed in the back on a Coney Island subway platform following an argument late on Tuesday night, police said.

The incident happened at 11:30 p.m. at the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue subway station, police said. Officers arrived after receiving a 911 call and transported the man to NYU Langone Hospital in Brooklyn, where he was pronounced dead, according to the NYPD.

Police are still investigating and have not said if video of the incident is available.
