Four people were found dead in a Bronx apartment Wednesday in an apparent murder-suicide, NYPD officials said.
Police said the four were found at the Castle Hill Houses just before 10 a.m. Officials said police were responding to a wellness check and a gun was recovered at the scene.
Authorities said the people included a 44-year-old man found in the living room near the couch, a 75-year-old woman and a 26-year-old woman found near the back of the apartment, and a 33-year-old man found near the entryway.
Officials said the people appeared to be related, and identified them Thursday, respectively, as Kaseem Stukes, Theresa Stukes, Kianna Stukes and Andrew Reynoso.
This section of the Bronx experiences a regular stream of violence. So far this year, there have been 27 shootings involving 30 victims, a 17% increase over last year.
