A 17-year-old girl has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a 20-year-old man in a party bus-related melee at the South Street Seaport early Sunday morning. According to the Post, Kadijah Robinson was charged with criminal possession of a weapon after police found her with the .22 caliber handgun used in the shooting. But authorities believe that the assailant dropped the gun off on the party bus after shooting 20-year-old Joel Ochoa, and fled the scene before police arrived.
Ochoa is in stable condition. The group on the party bus was allegedly celebrating a high school graduation while parked next to Pier 17, when they got into an altercation with another group hanging out under the FDR. Police detained everyone on the bus and released them all except for Robinson. It's unknown why she held on to the weapon. Add bullets to the long list of unpleasant things at the South Street Seaport, which includes swarms of bees and overpriced glow-in-the-dark souvenir t-shirts.
