An 11-year-old boy and two teenagers died in a car crash at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn Saturday night, while another 17-year-old male remains in critical condition, an NYPD spokesperson confirmed.

Driver Emil Badalov, 16, and passengers Margarita Sidgiyayeva, 18, and Daniel Sidgiyayeva, 11, all of whom lived around Sheepshead Bay, were pronounced dead after being transported to nearby hospitals, police said Sunday.

Several other teenagers were injured in the two-car crash on runways at the former municipal airport, the spokesperson told Gothamist.

About 8:20 p.m., Badalov was behind the wheel of a 2014 Kia Forte when he collided with a 2020 Toyota Camry in T-bone crash, the spokesperson said.

A 17-year-old boy in the Kia was the only survivor in that vehicle. He was transported to NYU Langone Hospital and was still listed in critical condition on Sunday afternoon, police said.

A 16-year-old boy was driving the Toyota with a 16-year-old girl and 18-year-old man. All suffered minor injuries.

Unnamed sources told NY1 drag racing may have been behind the deadly crash, but the NYPD says an investigation is ongoing and could not confirm whether investigators suspect drag racing.

No one has been arrested.

Floyd Bennett Field was NYC's first municipal airport in 1931. It has been inactive for some 50 years and today is a part of the National Park Service's Gateway National Recreation Area.
