The snow is melting and winter is officially over, but that shouldn’t stop you from planning a ski trip for next winter. And there’s good news for area skiers. New York State is launching the I Ski NY Bus for the 2014-2015 season. The bus will run from New York City to thirteen upstate ski areas. The price and schedule isn’t yet available, but the list of mountains has been announced.

Mountains include:

  • Hudson Valley—Adirondacks and Catskills regions: Thunder Ridge, Belleayre, Plattekill, Hunter, Windham, West, Gore, Whiteface and Catamount Mountains
  • Central New York region: Greek Peak, Toggenburg, Labrador and Song Mountains

Governor Cuomo said, "New York is home to some of the best winter resorts in the world, and with more operating ski areas than any other state in the nation, the region is the perfect winter getaway. With some of the best ski slopes, snowmobiling tracks, hiking trails, and scenic views, we want New Yorkers to know they should stay in New York and all out-of-state visitors to feel welcome to partake in all that Upstate has to offer."
