- Mets 3 Reds 2: Jose Reyes and Ruben Gotay started the game off with back-to-back home runs and El Duque pitched six strong innings and stole a base. Before the game the Mets announced that Lastings Milledge had been recalled from AAA and Julio Franco had been designated for assignment. Unless another team steps forward, it seems like Franco’s quest to play until he is 50 will fall a year short.
