2005_11scurry.jpgLarry Brown's Knicks can't be picky about the quality of their wins just yet. After all, their 73-62 win at Utah Monday was just the second of the season, and they've played seven games. Both teams played sloppily, but the Knicks' defense held the Jazz without a point during a critical nine and a half minute stretch. The 62 points scored against the Knicks was the lowest since the implementation of the shot clock. Larry Brown's preaching defense must be working.

EIther that, or the Jazz without Andrei Kirilenko and Carlos Boozer lack offensive firepower. Milt Pilacio and Andre Owens stated in the Utah backcourt, and many teams would have shut down the line up the Jazz put on the floor. Knicks fans should take heart in Eddy Curry's rebounding (he had nine Monday) and Quentin Richardson's recent offensive output (his 12-point effort was a season high). Still, Larry Brown has not found a rotation with which he is comfortable, and he may not until the roster is overhauled.
