Stuck inside your office today, staring longingly out the window at the proud drunks parade-goers? Join the club. But there is a light at the end of your stuffy, sober tunnel: A number of bars have opened their outdoor spaces just in time for the beautiful weather today, and with all this new sunlight we're enjoying past 4 p.m. chances are the temperature won't drop until you're already too blitzed to care. Ordinarily we'd advise against going to a bar on St. Patrick's Day, but after the winter we've endured, we're willing to put up with some rowdy revelry for the sake of al fresco imbibing. Here's where it's happening:

  • Astoria favorite Bohemian Hall will open at 3 p.m. today, serving traditional Czech beer (and others) by the half liter or pitcher, in their large, picnic table-lined garden.
  • BBar and Grill just removed the enclosure on their garden today and will be serving their full menu of cocktails and food; as a bonus, the kitchen is open late to curb those Jameson-induced food cravings.
  • Hipster hangout Union Pool will be serving drinks al fresco today in their back garden, and Austin McCutchen with The Dang-Nabbit Bobbys and Pure Horsehair will be melting rock faces starting at 9pm.
  • The Frying Pan will be open (for today only, boo!) if you feel like getting nautical while you get your drink on. Further up the river The Boat Basin Cafe will open today at 4 p.m., serving drinks but no food (the restaurant will debut it's spring menu tomorrow starting at noon); if in your drunken haze you forgot to take Fido for a walk, he can drink (water!) alongside you as the space is dog friendly!
  • Also in Williamsburg, you can't lose with Lucky Dog, which has a big backyard festooned with Christmas lights, dozens of excellent craft beers on tap, pinball, a great jukebox, and shuffleboard.
