Raccoons and New Yorkers have maintained a tentative peace agreement in recent years, leading to charming stories involving cohabitation and political power moves. But this détente was irrevocably shattered this week after a pair of tubby raccoons tried to establish dominance and/or permanent residence inside a Bronx Chinese restaurant.

According to the News, Facebook user Mikaa Dtn said that she came upon the scene at the New Chinatown restaurant at 3955 Bronxwood Avenue near 224th Street. "I was on my way back from upstate [and] I was hungry [so I] stopped for some food," she said in a status update. "I was in line and I [heard] some s--t over my head and I ignored it." Her little brother suddenly ran out of the store, which is when she noticed the creatures: "I pulled out my phone, next thing you know my godfather was there getting it with the two raccoons."
There are no Yelp reviews for New Chinatown, but there are a handful of Google reviews which, um, don't exactly inspire a lot of faith in their Kung Pow Chicken: "There food taste like mold and bleach in one. Rice taste horrid as crap. Chicken unseasoned & pale. My bestfriend bought chicken fired rice and it made her stomach turn. The people are rude crazy & disrespectful. The man that works there gets to touchy feely. DONT EAT THERE!!!!!"
Neither the raccoons nor the bad reviews stopped the uploader from eating what she ordered there though, as you can see in this followup video.
Even though everything seems pretty above-board with this one, there's still like a 30% chance that these raccoons were trained Zardulu.
