Did Sex and the City have a following in Greece? Because "Greek socialite" Nicole Kotovos has reportedly opened up a Magnolia Bakery there, and without the owners' permission. Owners Steve and Tyra Abrams are reportedly suing former business partner Jennifer Appel, owner of Buttercup Bake Shop, for supplying Kotovos with secret Magnolia recipes and business tips. Recipes that aren't in their cookbook, we're guessing.

The couple is suing Kotovos and Appel for interfering in a contract, unfair competition and alleged trademark infringement, both in Greece and in New York. But Appel claims she had no idea Kotovos planned to open a Magnolia knock-off. Page Six reports that Appel didn't have "any knowledge or warning that Kotovos intended to use the name 'Magnolia' in any way. In fact, she says, she warned her not to attempt such use." Kotovos also claims that she doesn't even use the Magnolia name, and that her business is under another name suggesting an unrealistic view of life in New York—Hamptons Cupcakes. Should've gone with Billy's.
