Trey Parker and Matt Stone's first Broadway musical, The Book of Mormon, is currently in previews on Broadway and the South Park guys have been living in the city as the show comes together. But what have they been eating while not-exactly-mocking the Church of Latter Day Saints?

Fried chicken and McDonald's, apparently. While talking with the duo today we asked them what they've been eating while in town and got a stronger response then we were expecting.

"My favorite restaurant in the whole world," Matt Stone told us, "is Dirty Bird on 14th and 7th and they deliver fried chicken. It isn't just my favorite restaurant in the city it is my favorite restaurant in the whole world."

Curious, we called up Dirty Bird to find out if they knew they had such a high-profile fan. "Actually, no," a manager told us. "And normally we know about our famous fans." The manager didn't want to discuss who those other fans were (the lunch rush was starting) but other notables who've expressed love for DB's organic, free range fried chicken in the press include Oprah's former personal chef Art Smith and RJD2.

As for Trey Parker? "I've really been frequenting the McDonald's on 51st and Broadway," he told us.
