Old Bay seasoning is perfect, and perfectly in season right now with the reemergence of alfresco seafood. But this seasoning can be placed on or in just about anything (UTZ potato chips, vodka, everything). And now it's in your beer. Old Bay, what can't it do?

Flying Dog Brewery (their beers can be found in stores and on tap in NYC) has announced the special edition brew, which was created in celebration of Old Bay's 75th anniversary.

"Dead Rise OLD BAY Summer Ale will highlight the indelible character of OLD BAY through bright and refreshing citrus hop character and a crisp, tart finish. OLD BAY is added to the whirlpool imparting a bold aroma followed by hints of flavor throughout the beer. The finish is dry, snappy, and perfect for our hot and humid summers."

The brewers worked with Old Bay's spice experts for six months to get the right flavor down, and you'll be able to consume it come May. Currently the "Maryland masterpiece is in the brew kettle [but] will be on shelves Memorial Day through Labor Day in Maryland, DC, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and North Carolina."
