A new marketplace called Gansevoort Market made its debut in the Meatpacking District last week, adding yet another upscale food court-style spot to the growing list in Manhattan and Brooklyn. The new 8,000 square foot space offers over a dozen different food purveyors, from classy coffee shops to sushi to a Greek yogurt bar. It's only a few blocks from the very established Chelsea Market; then again, there's never such a thing as too many tacos.
Inside, a gorgeous vine installation by sculptor Charlier Baker, endowing the seating area with a touch of whimsey. Also adding to that, Tacombi Taqueria's signature VW bus, parked nearby for easy distribution of the aforementioned tacos. Other eating optinos: crepes from Crepe Sucre, New England Seafood from Ed's Lobster Bar, porcine goods from The Pig Guy, tapas from Donositia and more.
