While yesterday's Puerto Rican Day Parade was a dazzling display of boricua pride, we wonder if it'll be a little less festive next year—because Mayor Bloomberg wants to ban sugary drinks over 16 ounces, and there were plenty of displays of way-larger-than-16 ounces drinks in the parade!

Spotted consorting with cops were some Dunkin Donuts iced coffee and donuts—by this time next year cops probably have to stop and frisk the iced coffee to make sure it's unsweetened. And there was a McDonald's float that taunted paradegoers with huge cups of Dr. Pepper. This is like the corn-syrup Gomorrah!

Oh well, maybe 7-Eleven can plan a float, since Big Gulps, for some weird reason, are totally protected under the proposed ban.
