New Yorkers can get a taste of San Francisco's successful and Beard Award-winning eatery The Slanted Door when chef Charles Phan sets up a Pho Pop-Up this month at Williamsburg's Wythe Hotel. Phan brings his Vietnamese noodle soups to the trendy hotel on February 15th, 16th and 17th, according to the Times, choosing to forgo a reservation system (that would inevitably sell out) for good old fashioned walk-in service (a.k.a. queues).

Pho is obviously the star here, of which there will be two flavors: chicken or beef. There's also a vegetarian Bun Rieu soup option and a Chao Long porridge made with pig innards. Before the main event, there'll be appetizers served family-style, including yellow tail with crispy shallot and Thai basil and Gau Choy Gau: green chive and shrimp dumplings. The meal concludes with beignets and Rice Crisps with lime cream and salted peanuts for dessert plus Vietnamese coffee.

The meal costs $38 per person (before tax and tip) plus extra for cocktails, also created by Phan's team in San Fran.
