This Sunday, October 23rd, the Hester Street Fair is partnering with New York food blog Grub Street to present what is now an annual street food festival. Admission is free for the massive feast, which last year drew over 13,000 eaters. But this year the event has greatly expanded by taking over the tennis courts adjacent to Hester, creating four times more space. And they're gonna need it: 75 restaurants, food trucks, purveyors and vendors are participating this time (up from 50 last year), plus over 30 shopping vendors.

The binging begins at 10 a.m. and lasts until 6 p.m., with musical accompaniment provided by Santos Party House; Michael Laiskonis, head pasty chef at Le Bernadin; and Alex Pasternak of the band Lemonade. They'll both will be spinning "food themed" music all day, so expect Weird Al's "Eat It" to be in heavy rotation. The roll call of food vendors include The Commodore, Luke's Lobster, Ditch Plains, barbecue from Brooklyn's Char No. 4, Daisy Duke's, Georgia's Eastside BBQ; and haute dogs from Bark. Peruse the full roster of participating vendors here, and don't forget to iron your finest elastic sweatpants.
