Buttermilk Channel Set to Open Tomorrow

<p>Buttermilk Channel’s goldfish, Ackerman, named after the bar &amp; grill which stood in the same location over 70 years ago (Ackerman is not on the menu). </p>

<p>No soda guns here: Buttermilk Channel’s seltzer comes from old school siphon bottles, all kept in good working order by the last of the Brooklyn seltzer-men, <a href="http://www.villagevoice.com/bestof/2008/award/best-old-school-brooklyn-seltzer-man-691264/">Eli Miller</a>, who refills and recharges at <a href="http://64.233.169.132/search?q=cache:AH-e2uKOvZYJ:www.nypress.com/print.cfm%3Fcontent_id%3D10119+%22Gomberg+Seltzer+Works%22">Gomberg Seltzer Works</a>, the last of the old school seltzer makers in the city. These aren’t seltzer bottles in the name of kitsch; these are your grandfather’s seltzer bottles. </p>
