Apparently the folks of Bushwick weren't quite ready for the charms of the multi-city bar chain Beauty Bar. After three years there they've cut their losses and moved to the presumably more accepting arms of Park Slope. If you've been to the OG BB in Manhattan, you know what to expect. The stroller set are going to love it.
The new Beauty Bar is an interesting and large beast with a massive two-sided bar and a cocktail program headed up by The Randolph at Broome's Shane Tison. The space has a pretty fair Happy Hour ($2 off all drinks and a $10 drink and manicure combo between 4-8 p.m.) to go alongside pretty reasonable prices for the area (beers run $5-7, cocktails are around $10).
If you like your bars bright with retro-styling, you'll like the new Beauty Bar. Meanwhile, if you haven't been by lately, the Bushwick Beauty Bar is now kicking with the same staff but a new name, Broomies.
