Midwestern transplants will soon have very full potbellies—Chicago's beloved chain of sandwich shops isn't just going to be opening that Downtown Potbelly we mentioned in March! Midtown Lunch has noticed that the shop has two other locations coming soon to midtown.
No opening dates are clear for either of the new Potbelly locations, but if you want to keep track one will be opening on 44th Street between Lexington and Third Avenues while the other will be opening in the Rockefeller Center concourse ("coming soon-ish" the sign says).
We haven't been blown away by Potbelly when we've had their sandwiches in Chicago, but boy did our commenters react positively to the news of the chains imminent arrival. Assuming there isn't a rapture, we suspect the stores will do quite well here (at least initially).
