Former Cooking Channel star and celebrated mixologist Darryl Robinson was found dead in his Bedford-Stuyvesant apartment early this morning. He was 50 years old, and officials are currently investigating the cause of death.

Robinson, who starred in the Cooking Channel's cocktail-themed show "Drink Up," was found in a bedroom at his Greene Ave apartment by police officers at around 12:35 a.m. this morning, lying facedown in bed. The Long Island native was pronounced dead at the scene, and officials believe he died at around 9 p.m. last night; they say there were no immediate signs of trauma to his body.

In addition to hosting "Drink Up," which ran in 2010 and is still in syndication, Robinson made appearances on programs like The Wendy Williams Show, VH1's Morning Buzz and Access Hollywood. He was also a fixture behind the bar at the now-closed Hudson Bar, and reportedly planned on building his own mixology empire. "He really worked at making himself a brand and made a career out of it. He always wanted to do more, be bigger,” friend Maggie Mistal told the Daily News. “Everybody is just as shocked as I am. We’re all confused.”

Authorities say no drugs were found in Robinson's home, and his body was found fully clothed. Autopsy results are pending.
