You know who gets our appetite going? Larry King. Yup, just one look at those oversized glasses and reptilian wrinkles makes us ready to eat whatever he is that keeps him looking so young. And apparently that's bagels. But not just any bagels—Brooklynized bagels.
King is reportedly the newest franchise owner for the Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co., the Florida company that "Brooklynizes" its water to get that authentic New York bagel taste. King opened a location in Beverly Hills, and founder Steven Fassberg hopes that the celebrity endorsement will boost sales. It doesn't hurt that King apparently believes in the process: “I was intrigued to hear about the technology behind Brooklynized water as many people thought it couldn’t be done. But after experiencing the product first hand, Brooklyn Water Bagel brought back childhood memories—one bite and I was back in Brooklyn.”
The company also plans to use their water filtration system for other products, from pizza and pasta to pretzels and Italian ice. They also plan on selling "scooped" bagel sandwiches, even though according to our highly scientific research about 90 percent of you say scooping a bagel is sacrilege.
