On Monday, Hell Gate Social in Astoria is hosting a preliminary round for this year's Bloody Mary Mix Down, a competition pitting esteemed Bloody Mary makers against one another for the coveted Screaming Mi Mi Award. The competition is part of the NYC Hot Sauce Expo, and spectators will be treated to free Bloody tastings and swag courtesy of Stoli vodka; the event kicks off at 7:30 p.m.

Head to Pork Slope in (duh) Park Slope on Tuesday for some Filipino-style swine. The restaurant is teaming up with Filipino joints Maharlika and Jeepney for a Bar Food Blowout, complete with hearty grub and a special “Slippery Slope” beer and shot combo, in addition to a live DJ set courtesy of Radical Dads. Tickets are $20 and the dinner runs from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.; you can purchase your tickets online.

On Tuesdayand Wednesday, The Reynard at Williamsburg's Wythe Hotel is hosting a Winter Ramen Party as part of its Dinner With Friends series. The team behind Oakland, Calif. pop-up the Ramen Shop will be serving up steaming hot signature dishes at $17-a-pop, in addition to $12 specialty cocktails, beer and coffee. The event runs from 6 p.m. to midnight on both days, and is walk-in only.

And also on Wednesday, the DCTV Firehouse in Chinatown will be holding this year's Brisket King of NYC event. A $75 ticket gets you three hours of meat and booze from the likes of barbecue hard hitters like Fletcher’s Brooklyn BBQ, Dinosaur BBQ and Tchoup Shop. Booze includes offerings from Tito’s Vodka and Lagunitas, plus there's a whole lineup of spirit purveyors TBA; the event runs from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and you can buy your tickets online.
