Why can't we have more places like this in the city? Picture a ginormous outdoor bar that sells beer from a keg to a a crowd of thousands of juicy coeds, swaying drunkenly to the sounds of "Shot Through The Heart" while chugging $2 plastic cups of lukewarm beer? Wait—a place like this does exist? On Long Island? Be still! Meet Boardy Barn in Hampton Bays, Long Island.

The Post introduces us to the Barn today, and bro this place makes Day & Night sound like a canasta club. The bar, which is only open on Sundays from 4-8 p.m. from Memorial Day through Labor Day, sees about 2,000 people in its tented confines every week. They go through about 600 kegs of beer a day, which, with 165 servings per keg, translates to almost 100,000 cups of beer in an afternoon—all for $2 a pop (well, plus a $20 entrance fee). To put that in perspective, a staffer at Brother Jimmy's in Murray Hill told us they go through roughly 10 kegs a week. "They say that if we were open year round, we would sell more beer than at Yankee Stadium in a season," Barn co-owner Tony Galgano said.

The Barn's Yelp page offers first-timers an idea of what to expect, like "Stand in line for 1-2 hours, oogle at the scantily clad Jerzy and Lawng Island girls only to get them wet and inebriated a few minutes later" and "Expect to get as sloppy shitfaced as you've ever been." So this is what the Hamptons are all about! Ready for your getaway? LIRR directions right over here (transfer to the Montauk line at River Styx station).
