This winter season has been apparently been really great for two things: fans of the flu and orange juice sales. You can probably figure out why!

Because of this season's flu epidemic—be very, very, very happy if you didn't get it this year because, man, that bug blows chunks—it seems that sales of orange juice have jumped an impressive 5.5 percent—despite a 1.8 percent price hike. This is the first time OJ sales have gone up in the past two years.

The bump in juice sales can be attributed to the drink's high Vitamin C content and its reputation as an immune-system booster. A reputation we certainly subscribe to. Even more interesting to us then the jump in sales? Who knew that the Greater New York area is the largest U.S. market for orange juice?
