Brunch: where you can put an egg on anything and call it a breakfast item—even pasta! That's what they're doing at the new LES outpost of Galli, which took over the former 'inoteca space. Their Breakfast Bucatini ($15) coats toothsome bucatini pasta with a romano cheese-infused cream sauce tossed with nubs of smokey bacon and a sprinkle of basil to finish. On top, a fried egg with crispy edges whose yolk provides an extra decadent touch when pierced with a fork. If that's too "out there," they have a full menu of more traditional brunch items like waffles, eggs benedict and sandwiches.

Celiac sufferers or folks eschewing gluten are blessed with lots of options for safe eating these days and a monthly series dedicated to their dietary needs is just one of them. This Sunday, head over to Freddy's Bar in South Slope for the one-year anniversary of the Gluten-Free EatUP!, offering up a bevy of gluten-free products for on-site eating and also taking home for later. Levine's General Store will be providing Grilled KimCheese and Classic grilled cheese sandwiches, which can be washed down with GF beers and ciders from the bar. Vegan baked goods, porridge, Italian cookies and kosher eats are all on offer while the market operates between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.
