Eat Cetera: The Hunger, The Paella, The Cold Soup

Top Chef alum Camille Becerra (RIP Paloma!) and hospitality guru Alan Philips are bringing their pop-up restaurant series The Hunger back to NYC. For four fleeting nights starting August 3rd, their second "guerrilla culinary" installation at The Yard in Soho Grand Hotel will serve al fresco Argentinean Asado (barbecue), focusing on meats grilled on a parrilla style grill. Becerra says she is also influenced by SoHo's "South American and European influences." The set-up aims to drop jaws; sip sangria or yet-to-be-announced specialty cocktails at a 70 person communal table "under the stars" (weather permitting!), surrounded by a 20 by 10 foot photo installation, summer lanterns, and a 10 foot-long open-air grillâall set to the the Argentinean tango/rock-influenced tunes of DJ Claudius Raphael and Nick Cohen. 310 West Broadway, www.thehungernyc.com — Gothamist
