Eat Cetera: Tasting Brooklyn, Whisky Live, Vegetarian Food Fest

Veg Out: There couldn't be a more perfect way to get ready for warm weather and all the earthly abundance of Spring than with the NYC Vegetarian Food Festival, which on April 3rd welcomes "foodies, locavores, vegetarians, vegans, and flexitarians" alike to their "cruelty-free" fete. After eating your way through a smorgasbord of vegan samples, you can settle in for cooking lessons, lectures on topics like fermented foods, vegan parenting, and eating-as-activism, or catch a yoga demonstration given by teachers from the Jivamukti Yoga Center. Live musical performances and belly dancing are also included in the day's festivities.
