2015 has thus far proven itself to be just as much of a garbage year as its predecessor, which is all the more reason to best it with even more winter weight gain and wild drinking stories, right? Right. Here's where to shovel things into your face hole this week:

On Monday, Beer Sessions Radio will be hosting a Rare Beer Dinner at Jimmy's No. 43 in the East Village. Specialty beers will be paired with a menu crafted by Grand Hyatt sous chef Matthew Garelick, with brews including *Maine Beer Co. "King Titus," Jolly Pumpkin "Fuego del Otono" and The Bruery Oude Tart. The beer feast costs $50 per head and kicks off at 7 p.m.; you can purchase a ticket online.

Head to Colicchio & Sons in Chelsea on Wednesday for the start of their fifth anniversary celebratory cask ale series, held in the restaurant's Tap Room. Local brewers Empire Brewing Co. will offer up their specially-made anniversary ale free of charge, and you can purchase $5 beers in addition to snacks and sweets made by the restaurant's chefs. The event kicks off at 9:30 p.m. and is free to attend; RSVP online.

And on Thursday, A Voce beverage director Olivier Flosse will host a wine cellar-building class at the restaurant's Columbus Circle space. Participants will learn how to craft an affordable wine collection, and they'll also be treated to wine tastings and antipasti. The class runs from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and costs $65-per-person to attend; make a reservation through the restaurant.
