Consistently packed Cambodian sandwich shop Num Pang has expanded with another location on Broadway at 26th street. The flagship location—which is the first to have full seating for 30—opened yesterday inside what was once 20th century Soda Fountain, now updated with Num Pang's signature graffitied wall. This is also the first location to serve alcohol, with a rotation selection of local craft and Asian beers and wines plus a house-made Cambodian Sangria with tropical fruit, lemon grass and ginger.
Keeping true to their roots, the new location offers up mouth watering sandwiches likes the Five-Spice Glazed Pork Belly ($8.50) with pickled Asian pear and Coconut Tiger Shrimp ($8.75) with toasted coconut flakes. They've also added rice bowls to the menu, which come with either brown or jasmine rice topped with marinated pork, grilled market fish or seasonal vegetables with chili yogurt and a cold vermicelli noodle dish as well.
