Yesterday the beloved pizzeria Di Fara posted an age-old question on their Facebook. A question we are faced with, and argue with our significant others, on a regular basis: "Pizza for breakfast? A Do or Don't?"
To us, the answer to that question is always yes. But of course, there are actually a variety of ways one can eat pizza for breakfast:
- Cold. To some, cold pizza, like cold Chinese food, is one of the great pleasures of living in the age of refrigeration. li>Reheated. Some folks just don't like to eat cold food, but somehow still enjoy a good microwaved slice in the morning.
- Plain. Nothing like a slice of $.99 pizza to get the morning going.
- Brunch. Thanks to the boom in fancy pizzerias the past few years, the breakfast pizza, normally served closer to brunch and often featuring an egg on top, has become a common sight at places like Motorino and Pulinos.
So, now that we've defined our terms, what say you? Pizza for breakfast, yay or nay? And if yay, which kind of morning pizza do you prefer?
