Oh hey, look at that sunshine! It seems like May's brought some better weather with it—but we're not trying to jinx anything—and warm-ish temperatures are here to stay. And though your winter weather Saturdays were probably spent watching Kevin Spacey break the 4th wall and lamenting about never getting around to buying that space heater, it's time to get the hell outside and be with real (albeit maybe a little fratty) humans. Fittingly, the Beekman Beer Garden opens for the season today!

The South Street Seaport bar's been a hotspot since it opened in 2011, but naturally it was shuttered through the winter—plus, it got totally battered in Sandy, and there was concern it wouldn't reopen at all this year. According to the beer garden's twitter, the venue was supposed to resume operations on Thursday, but wasn't ready on time, so today's the day, folks: beer, burgers, "beach" (sand!) bros and a beautiful view of the Brooklyn Bridge, all kicking off at midday.

If Beekman's not your thing, though, you can still enjoy the outdoors with a beer in hand: check out these rooftop bars for an elevated warm-weather drinking experience.

Beekman Beer Garden is located at 89 South Street at the South Street Seaport (212-896-4600, beekmanbeergarden.com).
