Wow, Anthony Bourdain is busy these days. He's wrapped up his Travel Channel show No Reservations (in Brooklyn, no less), he's got a CNN show in the works, is writing another book and now, Eater points out, he's... going to have a reality cooking show on ABC? Cause reality cooking shows on network TV have been so successful, y'know?

According to the website for "America's Hottest New Cooking Show" (which we are guessing is not the show's name), the competition boasts both Anthony Bourdain and Nigella Lawson as hosts for a program which "will pit America's most skilled cooks against one another in a show unlike any other." As such they are seeking "professional chefs, home cooks, and foodies from all walks of life."

Open calls for the show are coming, but haven't happened yet, so if you've ever wanted to be dressed down by the bad boy chef or the lovely Lawson, well, keep your eye on this page, we guess (and remember "You MUST bring one prepared dish to be served to the food judges"). There was a preview video up on YouTube for the show, but sadly its been made private. Still, you can catch it archived in all its, uh, glory, over on Eater.

Now, the real question is if this latest attempt to bring a cooking competition to broadcast teevee will do any better than some other recent, failed attempts. Chopping Block, we never even got a real chance to hate you.
