Since it first hit the market, more than 200 million copies of the game Angry Birds have been downloaded into people's phones (U.S. gamers have spent more than 1.2 billion hours playing it!), 30 million t-shirts have been sold and three million plush toys have hit people's beds. So naturally the game's creator, Rovio, is going to... self-publish an Angry Birds cookbook filled with egg recipes?

No, really. That's what Peter Vesterbacka, the company's head of marketing and business development, announced at the Open Mobile Summit in London. What exactly will be in the cookbook beyond egg recipes is currently being kept under wraps. The news comes on the heels of the company's plans to release an Angry Birds animated series (and maybe someday a movie) and board game.

But why an egg cookbook? Aren't the Angry Birds trying to save their eggs? Does this make us those rascally green pigs? Suddenly we're having flashbacks to that X-Files episode with the cannibalistic chicken farmers and their cannibal chickens.
