Restaurants rolling back to their opening night prices on anniversaries is nothing new (see: Patsy's) but that doesn't make it any less of an enjoyable hat trick. The latest to rollback? Upper West Sider Big Nick's Burger Joint which turns 50 years old on Wednesday! To celebrate, they've got a special menu of select items rolled back to their 1962 prices. $.15 coffee, anyone?
The menu, which includes 1/4 pound burger for $.60, fries for $.30 and a fried egg sandwich for $.35 (as well as later menu additions like pasta and sauce for $.75 and a slice of pizza for $.50), will be available in Big Nick's dining room from noon to midnight. In addition, the rest of the very long menu will be available for regular prices for dining in, takeout and delivery.
So while we count our pennies for Wednesday, let's all wish a big congrats to Big Nick for still rocking 2175 Broadway after all these years!
