On August 1st, 1981 MTV launched, with The Buggles "Video Killed The Radio Star"... it was really pretty amazing, looking back:

But do you remember your five original veejays? Before Jesse Camp, and Adam Curry, and even the newsier heads John Norris and Kurt Loder... there was Martha Quinn, Alan Hunter, Mark Goodman, JJ Jackson and Nina Blackwood! While Jackson died at the age of 62, the remaining veejays got together recently for an MTV 30th Anniversary Special. Click through for a little bit of then and now comparisons!
