Most people turn off Taxi TV when they're hailing a ride, but here's one thirty second reason not to: a gorgeous video by Ryan McGinley for Sigur Rós's "Varúð" will soon be coming to the small backseat screen.

According to Pitchfork, "thirty seconds of McGinley's slow-motion video—which follows his friend Jessica Tang as she runs down Manhattan streets—will be shown in 3,000 cabs in New York through February 5th."

McGinley has called the video a "poem to New York City," and says he attempted "to bring childhood innocence to the streets, through a character whose own light and wonder affect the world around her." Maybe more New Yorkers will choose skipping through the streets as their main mode of transport after watching:
