Travel site Concierge.com is begging tourists not to do certain things when visiting NYC. They preface their list by saying it's "a touchy subject that's bound to inspire some strong reactions. For your enjoyment, outrage, and debate, therefore, here are ten of New York's most played-out, overrated, nonessential nonattractions—and what to do instead."
Their list urges tourists to avoid pedicabs, carriage horse rides, hot dog stands, Magnolia Bakery, the Empire State Building, comedy shows in Times Square, shopping at Century 21, clubbing in the Meatpacking District, dining in Times Square (but... FRIDAY'S!), and eating at Tavern on the Green (which isn't even an option anymore). What would you add?
