If you see pixelated disaster scenarios and blurry images of... are those sharks? in Times Square today, DO NOT PANIC, it's not real. Well, it is real because everything is real? But it's not a real Sharknado. There are not really mutant sharks twirling around in a violently rotating spiral. Mark McGrath and Ian Ziering are not really saving us from anything. Judd Hirsch isn't really a cab driver. Those cop cars you see are made of cardboard.
This is all the magic of Hollywood... or somewhere a few miles outside of Hollywood, inside of that old van in the desert, the one with the chipped paint and "For Rent" sign. And forget what we said about "magic."
Anyway, an alert has gone out that today at West 54th Street and Broadway there will be ongoing simulated police and fire activity for the filming of the SyFy Channel's sequel to Sharknado—expect to see a large amount of things that kind of look like NYPD and FDNY vehicles.
