After last week's mostly terrible (and very GLICE) Justin Bieber episode, we were feeling pretty depressed about the current state of Saturday Night Live—three bad episodes in a row can really do that to you. Thankfully, things were much improved this week, and a lot of that is thanks to the effervescent skills of host Christoph Waltz, who brought some much needed energy and excitement.

Waltz was particularly great in an excellent Tarantino parody, Djesus Uncrossed, which included nods to all of his films (Taran Killam as Brad Pitt from Inglorious Basterds hunting “Ro-Mans” and Kenan Thompson as a perfect Pulp Fiction-era Ving Rhames); as the adopted third Jamarcus Brothers who definitely knows a few things about where the sex is supposed happen; and as the game show host of the existential "What Have YOU Become?"

Click through for those highlights, plus the cold open on the disaster poop cruise, desperately thirsty Marco Rubio on an overall great Weekend Update, a Papal Securities ad, "Casual Hitler," the return of "Fox and Friends," Waltz as a well-meaning but creepy guard with an office crush, and performances by the Alabama Shakes.
