While you were probably huddled indoors with your Seamless order and your precious Japanese Green Tea Kit Kats, Mariah Carey had a decidedly different approach to dealing with the snowstorm: "Re-Christmas Day." Or at least that's what we think she says in the thoroughly bizarre video below—it's hard to hear her descriptions of the "truly quite fabulous and festive" made-up holiday over the sound of her own Christmas album.
This is what we've pieced together from this video: when Carey says she has holiday music on, she means she's listening to her own holiday music (in this case, "O Come All Ye Faithful/Hallelujah Chorus" featuring her mom). She personally walked to Connecticut to get her "beautiful little tree." She (or her friends/assistants) made Santa cookies. She likes to turn the camera upside-down to nauseating effect. And re-celebrating Christmas during a snowstorm is "what life is about." So now you know it's NOT 42.
