Since Jimmy Fallon and The Roots ascended to the Tonight Show throne last month, SNL alum Seth Meyers has taken over NBC's Late Night hosting role, and has been doing his best to win over the nation's night owls. Last night, Meyers brought New Yorker cartoons to life alongside the magazine's editor David Remnick, who played the good sport and explained the facepalm-obvious irony (Remnick called it "a little misdirection") of the live cartoons.
