For those parents who felt pretty good about themselves for taking their kids ice skating in Bryant Park without anyone getting shot in the leg, meet Jay Venini, a Northport, Long Island man who built an impressive snow luge in his backyard for his nieces and nephews. The icy ride starts at a height of ten feet from his back deck and features LED lights for nighttime luging. Here's video of Awesome Uncle Jay's "Looney Luge":

"The key was to ice it down at night when the temperature was in the teens," Uncle Jay told NBC 4 New York. Unfortunately, the lack of snow this past week has made the luge unusable, but surely there will be more to come in this neverending season of snow. We hope this winter never ends! Jay, will you be our uncle? Can we at least visit some Friday night for luging and gravity bong rips?
