Hours after he abruptly left the funeral of his ex-wife Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown performed at the Mohegan Sun casino in Connecticut with New Edition. "This whole year for me has been really difficult, but this is part of the cap off of what is to come in my life," Brown told the crowd. "I want to give blessings to my ex-wife Whitney Houston, I love you."
Yesterday Brown released a statement claiming that he was asked to move by the funeral's security "on three separate occasions," noting that he "gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene." Al Sharpton attempted to calm Brown down to no avail.
New Edition will continue to tour through the spring. On Thursday night, Brown told fans in Maryland, "Life is life ... you have to move on sometimes.... I love [Whitney] like I love God ... my name is BAD ASS Bobby Brown."
