With lots of snow but no sled in his possession, local comedian and filmmaker Todd Bieber got creative this weekend and appropriated his fiancée's desk chair to build his own DIY sledding apparatus. Using a pair of old skis, he created what he dubbed a "DC Ski," short for Desk Chair Ski, and promptly put it into action. Watch in wonder as a snowy hill in Prospect Park gets that extra dose of whimsical preciousness it so desperately needed:

Too bad Bieber's locked into this whole marriage thing, because apparently the DC Ski was such a hit with the ladies he "probably could have gotten a few digits." To be sure, you can see why women would swoon after watching Bieber fearlessly cheat death by riding his artisanal sled over a vertiginous snow jump (at the 2 minute mark). But after wowing the single Park Slope ladiez with his ingenious invention, the mack daddy sled innovator probably just ended up taking the old ball & chain out for a night of artisanal mayonnaise tasting in ProCro.

Meanwhile, on a snowy hill far from gentrified Brooklyn, other people got their kicks jumping through burning Christmas trees. Why they don't do their part and bring them to Mulch Fest we'll never understand:
