In the final installation of his Dirty Old New York (AKA Fun City) series, Jonathan Hertzberg delivers the below 25 minute supercut, featuring scenes from various movies filmed around the city Way Back When. Old movies, even the low budget ones you've probably never heard of, are a fantastic way to travel decades back in our city's history. Watch, and marvel how much has changed (Times Square!)... and how little has changed (the Knicks are still incompetent!).
A list of the movies included can be found here, and Hertzberg says, "I've attempted to connect the scenes by location, film, actor, or theme. You will also notice my continued pre-occupation / obsession with analog, often obsolete, technologies... pay phones, turntables, tube television sets, 3/4" video tapes, VCRs, etc."
Previously he released a 17 minute and ONE HOUR long supercut.
