The knee-whacking of Nancy Kerrigan in 1994 was so strange and surreal when it happened that it's only fitting the incident should get its very own odd homage: a temporary hallway gallery. Courtesy of two millennials, Williamsburg (and likely the universe) is getting its first museum to the fallen skater and her alleged attacker.

According to the Brooklyn Paper, the museum (created by Viviana Olen and Matt Harkins) "is meant to focus on a media machine that hones in on one scandal after the next, and the two athletes that got caught up in it."

The duo started a Kickstarter as a joke, but it's raised over $1,000 so far, and so the museum will open next month. It will not have regular hours, however—instead, visitors will be able to make an appointment online.

In the meantime, if you haven't seen ESPN's excellent 30 for 30 doc, The Price Of Gold, watch it on Netflix.
