Jets backup quarterback/"All-American' sandwich Tim Tebow hasn't had any time to turn water into Gatorade because he has been getting acclimated to his new surroundings: Tebow visited Broadway last night to see "Wicked," and yea, it was really good: “It was really good," he told the News after the show. Tebow does Broadway? Poor, poor Mark Sanchez: first Tebow wants his job, then Tebow wants his housing community...can't he just let him have his showtunes??
Sanchez is a notorious Broadway aficionado: he has seen the musicals "Wicked," "In the Heights," "Rock of Ages," "Billy Elliot" and "Memphis" multiple times, and according to friends, often belts out show tunes in the car. He gives his opinion on Tony winners! He even likes taking teammates on dates to Broadway shows!
But now that Tebow is here, all that doesn't matter. “He was very quiet. He was very demure. He was very respectful,” said tourist Katie Page, who seemed to pay more attention to Tebow than the show. “And you know what? He watched the show. He’s very adorable.” He may have charmed the audience, but some of the performers were more dubious: “He liked my performance,” said P.J. Benjamin, who plays Oz. “I hope I like his performance.”
Maybe there is one thing Sanchez has over Tebow: he cares about football. The Post was dumbfounded to discover that Tebow cares MORE about Jesus than winning football games: "the heavenly hunk makes no bones about his faith in Jesus — or about caring more about his Savior than the Super Bowl." How's Tebow going to pull an All About Eve on Sanchez with that kind of attitude?
